The Highlord Calls is a quest for level 60 in The Maw. It is step 3 of 13 in the Torghast storyline. The quest's turn-in marker is in Oribos at 40.0, 68.6. It rewards 1,000 experience and money.
Highlord Fordragon needs you in Oribos right away!
I'm not sure of the details, but the messenger mentioned the Maw.
You should go to him as soon as you can. If the Maw is involved, it must be serious!

As of 9.1, on completion of this quest Bolvar now offers the option to skip everything, right up to The First Move.
I still haven't figured out when this quest becomes available. Several of my chars had this available in their covenant but some just didn't. At first I thought it is linked to the renown and only available at a certain rank but I received it on some as early as rank 16 when I first ever ventured into the area of the covenent (and hadn't event finished the initiation ritual) and some zerg around at rank 40+ and still were not offered this quest. It confuses me to no end since the quest log tells me that if I want to advance my campaign, I shall do quests in the maw but I m absolutely sure that none of the chars who received the skip FOR the maw actually did any quests IN the maw. Investigation continues...

Pins are the quest’s own POI points from the current retail client, projected onto the in-game zone map. The game marks one blob as the quest’s turn-in; the rest are objective areas. Points that fall outside a map’s window are dropped rather than guessed at.

The bond to your covenant is growing stronger, <name>. Good. The power lies within you to venture into Torghast and rescue our allies. You saw Baine Bloodhoof while assisting the broker in the Maw. Perhaps this Ve'nari knows a way to breach the Jailer's tower and find the chieftain.

Update: The progress always seems to be that you need to advance your introduction to one of the covenants so far that you do the soulbinding and the getting to know your way around the covenant hub (or you skip that one). At the end of this you receive the quest to report back to Bolvar. There you skip everything. Don't accept any quest, not even the popup one. Skip until no more skips are available and the next quest from Bolvar should be Korthia Awaits. Then your alt is ready for the maw on mounts and without being feared.
