Description

This ought to be enough to break the bonds that hold your newfound ally.

<Ve'nari pauses for a moment.>

Before you do so, I offer a word of warning.

No creature imprisoned in that place should be trusted. Tread carefully, mortal.

After all, it would be a shame to lose so valuable a business partner.

There's a bug if you are just starting the quest and in the Torghast entrance. One of the quest objectives will be to "Exit Torghast through the exit door (Optional)" even though you haven't completed the "Break the Chain" objective. So you go through the exit door and are redirected to Torghast, then you are redirected through the exit door, and so on...

Anyways, ignore this objective. Take the portal to Torghast and enter the Runecarver's Oubliette using the door immediately to the right (the door you unlocked earlier in this quest chain). Then, talk to Runecarver to continue with this quest.

Where to go

Pins are the quest’s own POI points from the current retail client, projected onto the in-game zone map. The game marks one blob as the quest’s turn-in; the rest are objective areas. Points that fall outside a map’s window are dropped rather than guessed at.

Where this quest fits

Before this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • A Grave ChanceThe Maw · Level 60

    First you'll need a vessel to house anima and a way to expel it. I happen to possess such a device, which I'll be pleased to give to you. For a price, of course. You recall Zovaal's Cauldron, I trust? The denizens there were forged in unholy fire.

After this quest

Taken from a quest that requires this one.

  • Securing the HouseLevel 60

    Your journey into the Maw was impressive, but it will take even more phenomenal feats to earn the loyalty of the Maldraxxi. Increase your renown among our ranks, Maw Walker. The Maldraxxi are dedicated soldiers, but they will not follow just anyone into battle.
