It's more like...As I pondered where in this frozen waste I might find something hot enough for the job, a fire revenant crossed my path and I said to myself..."What in Sam Hill is something as hot as the side of the sun doing pattin across a frozen lake in the middle of the tundra waste lands?"

Mind that if you've completed "Mending Fences", you can no longer pick up granite boulders to help you against the giants, so when you accidently walk into one of them while killing the guys for this quest, watch out! If you happend to aggro a giant, you're on your own! :(

Did that mistake 5 times in a row. Stealthy for being iron giants, they are.

Before this quest

  • Mending FencesThe Storm Peaks · Level 25-30

If I hope to wrest control of the Temple of the Makers from my brother, I must make amends with my old allies. Perhaps by eliminating a common enemy, we may at least take a step towards renewing my friendship with the frost giants. Fjorn has besieged Dun Niffelem with giants of iron.

After this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • A Spark of HopeThe Storm Peaks · Level 25-30

Clearly, this is more than an ordinary hunk of metal. Unlike any ore you're familiar with, it is hard but not brittle, far lighter than it looks, and glows even when cool. Looking closer, you can make out one of Thorim's runes shining beneath the surface....
