This quest contains many references to The Wheel of Time series by Robert Jordan. The Shadow Rising is the name of one of the books in the series, and Old Grim and Heartfang are names for the Dark One.
the quest giver is actually at 40.5, 54.7 just outside the west gate of Mereldar.
If you ever read this book, you understand me when I say nothing is what it seems...

Storyline order is the client’s own QuestLine data from the current retail build.

Beledar has turned to Shadow, we must retreat back to Mereldar! <Vaelisia looks towards Aelric Leid.> I-- No. We need to destroy Aelric first. Take him down, then we retreat.
Hope in Solidarity has 15 steps, from To Mereldar to The Rise of the Reckoning.
Maps its steps are placed on (steps per map): Hallowfall (14), Azj-Kahet (1).

Pins are the quest’s own POI points from the current retail client, projected onto the in-game zone map. The game marks one blob as the quest’s turn-in; the rest are objective areas. Points that fall outside a map’s window are dropped rather than guessed at.
