Find Ban-Lu at the bottom of the waterfall, on a small island. Listen to his assessment of you then defeat him. You will be able to walk on the water. He jumps around a lot, one more reason to be thankful for Roll.

To turn this quest in and get your mount, Zen Pilgrimage. Leave the Temple of Five Dawns through the north door, in front of you. Go down the stairs, bear left and hop the stream. Ban-Lu is waiting for you at the mouth of the cave. You will be ported back to the Temple on your new mount after the cinematic.

Description

Ah, the ripples I feel in the water are strong! The droplet does not fall far from our location. Ban-Lu is quite close. <Ryuli closes his eyes and releases the lilies into the water. They drift slowly to the east.> He waits for you now, at the bottom of the waterfall to the east.

    I have not seen Ban-Lu, but the waters will surely know where he is. There is a flower that grows in the lakes of the mountain slopes near the Temple of the White Tiger, that only blooms in the presence of someone pure of heart.
