This quest had so much potential, but was a disappointment in the end. You're misled into bombing the $%^& out of the camp by an illusion, and when it fades, all you get is "We thought you had gone insane!" There were no casualties or anything. They could have had some npc(s) at the camp get killed by the bombing. The one who flew the plane could have actually gone insane afterwards as he felt he could no longer tell what's real or an illusion. That would have been so much better.

So, if you interact with the plane while shapeshifted (e.g. vial of the sands), you will get stuck in a loop where the plane just keeps doing its bombing run and never completes. Just abandon quest, go back and get it again, and don't be shapeshifted when you get in the plane this time.

When she told me to get in the bomber plane, I was somewhat confused because none of the three planes along the runway were interactive. Turns out, if you approach the end of the runway lights, the plane spawns there and you can interact with it.
