Secret: You don't have to kill the mobs or even go into the caves!
From the entrance you can see a glowing box of supplies, if there is none in there, go to the next cave.
There will be [item=157784] in 3 of the 5 locations, randomly. You don't even have to kill the mobs... I just knocked them back, looted, ran out, shadowmelded/dropped combat, went to next cave.
Happy Hunting!

This has to be the worst quest chain, not only in Battle for Azeroth, but all of WoW.

Flush Them Out is consistently bugged. You have to kill a four-pack of mobs, sometimes multiple times, to get credit.

Trinkets and Baubles gives you five locations to visit, but only three have them. Which is nice for WoW, since it holds your hand 99% of the time, but it sends you to the same locations as Flush Them Out, forcing you to fight those mobs again if someone else isn't.

You have to kill yourself after several of the quests, to remove a debuff that's not visible to you, to actually pick up the next quest in the chain. I had to do this at least five times to pick up five subsequent quests, otherwise the NPC will have nothing to say except "you're not ready, come back later."

It seems like this entire chain had absolutely zero testing, in the rather lengthy beta that BfA had, and this is just sad that Blizzard failed to fix any of this chain for launch.

(The above is accurate as of Friday, August 17th, 2018, on US-Stormrage, as an Alliance character.)

What to do

StorylineThe Forgotten Cove, step 3 of 8
Rewards23g 40s, 6,800 XP

Description

Beneath the tides, these terrors do not see fit to stay within their warrens. They have emerged in the night, stealing away to the villages and indulging in their avarice. They will use the provisions against us, to serve in their rituals. Rituals of summoning and communion with powers too terrible to comprehend. The populace is no concern of mine anymore, but I would not see these briny thieves to have their way. Relieve them of their plunder, and let them learn a bitter lesson.

Where to go

Pins are the quest’s own POI points from the current retail client, projected onto the in-game zone map. The game marks one blob as the quest’s turn-in; the rest are objective areas. Points that fall outside a map’s window are dropped rather than guessed at.

Before this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • Flush Them OutStormsong Valley · Level 50

They lurk in the shadows, in the salt-soaked caverns. The dark brine beneath the pure gleam of the surface. I have seen them. They plague my dreams, their whispers are maddening. They speak of their master, clawing at the barrier... Search the cliffs for their warrens.

After this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • The Weight of My AmbitionStormsong Valley · Level 50

As with the other settlements, I too relied on the services of sailors and watercraft to deliver supplies. They proved very useful in their diligence, and their silence. Predictably, they drew the attention of enemies, including those below the waves.
