Misplaced Faith

Misplaced Faith is a quest for level 50 in Stormsong Valley. It is step 5 of 8 in The Forgotten Cove storyline. The quest's turn-in marker is in Stormsong Valley at 78.6, 54.8. It rewards 6,800 experience and money.

Description

The air is foul with corruption. It must be dealt with.

The tidesages were fools, and I a fool to trust them. Belief in their god to perform miracles and deliver us from our folly. Nevertheless, their methods did serve to drive back the foul presence from these cliffs.

A simple censer, loaded with select powders and oils. The vapors produce an effect that expels the miasma, if only for a time.

Perhaps their ineffectual gesticulation will finally serve a purpose.

This area is kinda bugged right now, so if you can't get the quest kill yourself.

This quest was bugged for me, with the last corruption disappearing / phasing out when I approached. I gave up and went back to Boralus to turn in "Twist The Knife". After turning that in, I had to go back to the same area in Stormsong Valley for the next quest, "His Eye Upon You," and discovered the corruptions were no longer bugged and was finally able to complete this quest.

So perhaps this quest becomes, uh, corrupted depending on other quests you have active in the area?

Before this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • The Weight of My AmbitionStormsong Valley · Level 50

As with the other settlements, I too relied on the services of sailors and watercraft to deliver supplies. They proved very useful in their diligence, and their silence. Predictably, they drew the attention of enemies, including those below the waves.

After this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • Indefatigable PurposeStormsong Valley · Level 50

Its grip weakens, if only briefly. We must claim this place anew! Flopping, nightmarish horrors have infested the caves amongst the cove. Take the sacred blessings. Venture forth into the dark and find their altars. Purge their blasphemous constructions from our lands!
