TheWoWDBWhilst this is soloable can I also suggest that either out of politeness or from a purely selfish perspective you invite any other players who are waiting for Halthar to spawn to group with you.
That way you can all get the quest done and no undignified scrambling to tag him first!

The Wowhead description of this quest is wrong, it actually gives 350 rep, so if you're struggling to get in all the dailies, what with Therazane, Tol Barad, fishing, and cooking, then it is more worth it to turn in this one than any of the others.
It says this is a group quest but it is easily solo-able.
