Location: Just northwest of the nearest flight path at Shipwreck Cove, Highmountain.

The [object=247497] are spread around this area on the sea close to the shore (39.5,9.9).

Objective: Catch 10 x [item=134547]

Reward: 30 - 40 (varies) x Black Barracuda

Notes:


  • Water walking ability is required for this fishing world quest. If you don't have an ability for yourself, then you can get a 10 minute duration [spell=205359] buff from the appropriately named [npc=103727] who appears for the duration of the quest. She can be spotted as you enter the area from the flight path, next to a green coloured totem, on the shore (40.5,10.7).

  • A couple of hostile NPCs are found around this area. A number of [npc=108529] are around the area. Also a Sea Skrog slowly patrols along the shoreline. Both are fairly easily avoided with the water walking ability.

  • Like similar fishing world quest pools, these generally despawn once one [item=134547] has been caught from it, though occasionally it remains for two catches then despawns.

  • Also like similar pools, they are numerous and respawn quickly.

  • Currently, once the quest auto-completes, the [object=247497] don't despawn for the player and they can continue to fish them which produces a 100% catch rate of 1 x Black Barracuda (occasionally 2). It is also possible to catch baits and lures associated with a [object=246493], including [item=124124]. This is most likely a bug that will get fixed (as it was for Into the Whirlpool). it is perhaps not the most efficient method to catch them due to the pools despawning after each catch and having to move, especially as the [item=133755] trait [spell=201926] doesn't proc for these pools.

  • [npc=103727] continues to offer the [spell=205359] buff even after quest completion.

  • If you have an issue with receiving this quest, try relogging.

  • This is one of the fishing world quests that count towards the Fishing 'Round the Isles achievement.
