This refers to the song "Lucille" made famous by Kenny Rogers in 1977, when you needed to by a console from Sears and hook it up to the UHF screws on the back of your TV in order to play the ultimate video game of the time, Pong. (Yes, TVs used to have screws on the back.)

In the song, Lucille's husband says, "You picked a fine time to leave me, Lucille, with four hungry children and a crop in the field." Although, we preferred to sing it as "with four hundred children and a crotch that won't heal".

The camp where Corporal Teegan is found can be a bit tricky to find if you are coming from Forward Command. Basically, it is about half way between The Great Divide and the "r" in Forward Command on the world map. My suggestion is to walk along the ridge of The Great Divide and look south when you are above the "r". You should be able to see the camp from there.

Note that you must have completed quests Make 'em Squeal and A Failure to Communicate before this one becomes available.

What to do

StorylineSouthern Barrens, step 17 of 89

Description

According to Gaines, "Three-Tooth" is what the quilboar call their matriarch. She's been twisting the thorns of this crazy jungle to her own ends, and it was her orders that Gaines be "torn apart and fed to the overgrowth." Nice lady. Let's give her a taste of her own. Take the Bramblestaff you recovered, and use it on Three-Tooth to take her out of the picture. Then kill the crones she's been training, to ensure nobody else can take her place.

Pins are the quest’s own POI points from the current retail client, projected onto the in-game zone map. The game marks one blob as the quest’s turn-in; the rest are objective areas. Points that fall outside a map’s window are dropped rather than guessed at.

Where this quest fits

Before this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • A Failure to CommunicateSouthern Barrens · Level 10-30

I told him he was a fool, but Ambassador Gaines insisted he could negotiate an alliance with the quilboar against the Horde. Even if he succeeded, I for one wouldn't want to fight with those ... pig-men at my side.

After this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • Trouble From the Ground UpSouthern Barrens · Level 10-30

Teegan's a fool to think the quilboar caused this sudden overgrowth. Look around you. I've been watching these plants bloom and sprout daily - each generation is more mutated than the last. This isn't tribal magic - it's something primal. And dangerous.
