A Last Resort

A Last Resort is a quest for level 83-88 in Eversong Woods. It is step 5 of 10 in the Emergence storyline. The quest's turn-in marker is in Eversong Woods at 62.3, 59.5. It rewards 12,150 experience and money.

Description

With our ground forces pulled back, our position will be overwhelmed in a matter of minutes. It's time to execute our gambit.

Rommath and the Magisters have provided us a mana gem that can be used to overload Lash'ra's runestones. Take it, and infuse the stones with the mana contained therein. That will set the stage for the Magisters' ritual: to detonate the runestones and burn the entirety of Lash'ra to the ground.

We just have to hope the Lightbloom cannot survive in an inferno.

so everything we've done in Harandar and it has taken him up til now to even consider trying to burn it down.
This reminds me of That spiderman film where Peter goes to Doctor Strange for a spell, before simply asking the university to reconsider.

Before this quest

Expeditious RetreatHarandar · Level 83-88
I have a way to stop the Lightbloom from spreading further through the forest, but it isn't exactly a delicate touch. Normally, I'd never dream of resorting to a controlled burn in such a healthy portion of Eversong... but the frenzy is spreading too quickly, and we are running out of options.

After this quest

SurviveEversong Woods · Level 83-88
Our retreat to safer ground has not gone unnoticed. The rutaani mark us at every turn, and now they mean to cross the river. We have to buy Rommath and the Magisters as much time as we can. If we fail here, the whole of Eversong could be lost. Stand tall. Do not falter. And do your best not to die.
