What to do
Description
When the Farstriders first discovered the Lightbloom, we thought it to be merely an aesthetic change--a small quirk of the Sunwell's influence. Would that we knew then what we know now. These Light-frenzied rootways must lead all the way back to Harandar. If we don't close them, it won't matter how many of these damned things I bring down. Close the rootways and we might have a fighting chance.
Where to go
Pins are the quest’s own POI points from the current retail client, projected onto the in-game zone map. The game marks one blob as the quest’s turn-in; the rest are objective areas. Points that fall outside a map’s window are dropped rather than guessed at.

Where this quest fits
Before this quest
Taken from the storyline's own step order.
- Cull and Burn
Simply culling these creatures is not sufficient. If their bodies are left unattended, the Light will seep from their remains and spread through the soil to the surrounding foliage. We must take more drastic measures. Gather the bones of the creatures you slay.
After this quest
Taken from the storyline's own step order.
- Expeditious Retreat
I have a way to stop the Lightbloom from spreading further through the forest, but it isn't exactly a delicate touch. Normally, I'd never dream of resorting to a controlled burn in such a healthy portion of Eversong... but the frenzy is spreading too quickly, and we are running out of options.
