TheWoWDBThere is a rare mob / Event creature that spawns at 23, 66 south of the Shady Sanctuary in the Ohn'ahran Plains. I spent over an hour killing all the different types of salamanther's with no luck, but got all 3 from the first kill / skinning of the rare. It was called Territorial Coastling.

The quest doesn't specify which Salamanthers, but Mudwalker Salamanthers are the only ones with a quest tooltip showing. They could be found along a river delta in Ohn'ahran Plains in the vicinity of 70.6 36.8. Click on the link in this comment for a map and more information.
Either these have an abysmal droprate or for some reason you can't get them off the russet mudwalkers even though the quest area would suggest it.
edit: can't seem to find them anywhere. I'm thinking it's bugged.
