In order to complete Ashenvale Quests, my last questline was "The Diplomat From Silvermoon". This is supposed to start with Sheelah's Last Wish, but in order to receive that quest, you must first complete Security!.

Oh, but to get "Security", you first need to do As Good as it Gets. This quest is given out by [npc=33889] at (82,53) in Satyrnaar, Ashenvale.

In order to find Krokk, you need to toss [item=45710] into the smoldering brazier at that location. Problem was, I no longer had the powder. Not sure where I used it, or if I discarded it, or what happened, I don't remember.

You are supposed to be able to talk to [npc=33837] to get more, but all he did was said "Blood and Thunder" to me in his dialogue box. I tried logging out, logging in the next day, reloading, going back to where Krokk was supposed to be, etc. Nothing worked.

I finally opened a ticket, and within 24 hours, a GM had sent me a bag of powder, along with this message:

Not to worry, we have seen this pop up a few times, and I can confirm that our devs are aware of the issue. They have allowed us to send out the powder to players who are stuck. You will find the Secret Signal Powder in your mailbox shortly.

I don't know if anyone else has had this issue, but I was really frustrated because there was no info on any of these quests related to the problems I was having. Hopefully, if you have had these issues, this will help you.

Well, {class}, this is as good as it gets. The elves are scrambling to recover from your recent deeds. There's no better time to break into the lumber camp! Make your way in and speak with Overseer Gorthak. He'll instruct you as to how best escort the diplomat to safety. Good luck!

Where to go

Pins are the quest’s own POI points from the current retail client, projected onto the in-game zone map. The game marks one blob as the quest’s turn-in; the rest are objective areas. Points that fall outside a map’s window are dropped rather than guessed at.

Where this quest fits

Before this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • Wet WorkAshenvale · Level 7-30

Listen carefully, <class>. There are three leaders in this region who are commanding the elves, keeping their focus directed on the lumber camp. Slaying them will certainly cause panic and disarray, hopefully enough for us to successfully complete our mission.

After this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • Security!Ashenvale · Level 7-30

It's not as like I haven't got enough to think about here! Keeping this place operational is hard enough without constant elf and draenei harassment. Now, on top of everything, there's an assassin lurking around the camp who's killed an important diplomat... on my watch!
