TheWoWDBIn order to get credit towards Know Your Role, you must currently also take no damage while doing the lead up quests of The Enemy of My Enemy... Is Still My Enemy! and Assault Fire Camp Gai-Cho.
If you take damage while then trying to kill [npc=62554], you will be unable to get credit towards the achievement by abandoning it and reaquiring it. You will just need to wait until the next time you have these dailies.

I dropped this quest because I failed at the achievement, and the companion did not give me the option of getting the quest back. You have to go back to Master Snowdrift at the Shado-Pan Garrison to get the quest again.
I am really annoyed of the "knowing your role"-achievement! I have had multiple attemps at it by now and today made sure not to take damage during "the enemy of my enemy is still my enemy" and the assault quests. I had to abandon and retake the assault quest and doing it carefully took an enormous amount of time. I am sure I did not take any damage killing Cheng Bo, but did not get credit for it again.
If this is not bugged - as it seems to give credit to others - the reason I did not get credit could be that my pet die take damge.
