Description

Normally, it only takes a few scouts to hold this pass. Most of this territory is in sight of the wall, so archers would devastate any mantid force attempting to push through here. The problem is, most of the archers are occupied with the onslaught at the gate.

Take this flare - it will help you locate the mantid that are sneaking through the eastern pass under our diminished watch. Kill any you find. We can't let them lay a trail that might lead the mantid swarms farther into the steppes.

A few facts:
The mantid are stealthed, but leave a long orange trail behind them.
Despite being marked as aggressive, they are passive and will only attack when they are assaulted first.
They can be one hit killed with the traps from this quest which you pick up at the same spot as this one.

So, to make this extremely easy, just look for an orange trail, arm a trap, then attack the mantid and run over the trap. Tada! +1 to this quest.
