Abandoned the quest three time, retook the quest. Was able to start the ritual, place the bowl, but the book, where do I place it? There is no indication of where it should be placed. Not like the bowl that had a raised spot next to him.
Finally, I logged off and back on, very faintly is an indication to his left of where to place the book. It may have been there the entire time, the coloring of the ground and the book placement is so damn close, it's almost invisible. I will post a screen shot of where the book should be placed.

Edit: I had similar issues with the scepter. Fortunately since I just went though with it with the book, I had a fairly good idea what was going on and was able to find the scepter placement faster. I've submitted four screenshots, one for the placement of the book and then one after the book was placed and one for the placement of the scepter and one after the scepter was placed.

Description

Now that you have brought me all that I need, the ritual of return can begin. You see, stranger, the items you recovered were stowed in my hovel for over a hundred thousand years. The Void that surrounds us leaves its mark on everything it touches. While grinding the mineral removed the impurities of the Void, I still need to cleanse myself and the items. Please help me with the ritual. I do not foresee any distractions or issues. We are very close now.
