This is it, <name>. Place the K'areshi fragment above Adarus, and I will channel the void lure containing Ramon'ta's void essence into the shard.

Adarus is powerful and determined, but we're attempting something both experimental and dangerous.

I'll ask you to be vigilant.

You know, the moment I see the whole "sucking in a giant amount of dangerous void energy and more power" thing, I knew this is going to end badly.

The fact we only had to shove him through a portal instead just putting him down right there is actually a better outcome than I expected.

He did end up as a raid boss though.

Where to go

Pins are the quest’s own POI points from the current retail client, projected onto the in-game zone map. The game marks one blob as the quest’s turn-in; the rest are objective areas. Points that fall outside a map’s window are dropped rather than guessed at.

Where this quest fits

Before this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • Distilled DarknessK'aresh · Level 80

Adarus is preparing his mind and body for the ritual. Our task is to place the fragment at two points within this cavern, which will both align the crystal to the void energy in the area and attract any void entities that reside nearby.

After this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • Hunger of the VoidK'aresh · Level 80

I did all I could to prevent this outcome. If you hadn't pushed him through the portal the unrestrained void energy would've collapsed the cave around us. He was strong. In a way, I think that worked against him. Meet me back in Shan'dorah.
