Description

Uncle Chen's still got his eye on me, which means I won't be wandering off any time soon. I guess it's up to you to take these turnips... I mean, "carrots"... into the Twisted Warren and deliver them for me.

It should be pretty simple. Just toss the vegetables in front of virmen, then watch their reaction when they find out it's really a turnip!

The things the virmen say when you toss the fake "carrot" in front of them are awesome. Moreso when you realize how some of them sound EXACTLY like forum trolls.

A few quotes:

"Seems legit."

"I love it. I love this carrot." (Incoming guild name: <I Love This Carrot>)

"Look, look! Weird, bumpy carrot!"

"Ahh, turnip! Get out of here!"

"No, we been tricked!"

"I think we should eat it."

"Good things happen to us today."

"You no take carrot! You take turnip instead!"

"False carrot alert! False carrot alert!" and "I love it. I love this carrot." are the best quotes in the game. I stood around and threw carrots at these guys for at least an hour just for the lulz. These guys are definitely a mockery of stupid forum trolls. "Seems legit" is the best example.

I love this particular virmen conversation too:

Virmen 1: I just notice funny-looking carrot!
Virmen 2: Let's eat it!
Virmen 3: Seems legit!
*carrot becomes turnip*
Virmen 1: Who would do this!
Virmen 2: Stay away! We know what it can do!
Virmen 3: Ahhh, turnip! Get out of here!

They are literally terrified of turnips for some reason.

Where this quest fits

Before this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • Thieves to the CoreValley of the Four Winds · Level 15-35

You and that Chen fellow are good people, helpin' out with the virmen like you are. I don't like to ask for favors, but I ain't gonna turn 'em away, either. While you're out there puttin' the hurt to those rabbit-men, you wouldn't mind keepin' an eye out for some bags o' hops, would ya?

After this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • The Warren-MotherValley of the Four Winds · Level 15-35

We've dealt with the alpha males. Now, the alpha female. Virmen aren't terribly selective when it comes to breeding, but most broods will still have a dominant mother figure. She's usually bigger, meaner, and tougher than anyone else in the brood.
