The eggs have a pretty large spangly glow as is the norm with quests like this nowadays, and they're plentiful - even on the outside ledge overlooking Warsong Hold you'll find a fair few and ofcourse they can be found on the scaffolding all the way around the base.
Destroying them (channeled attack) will lead to one of three outcomes - (a)nothing will happen and you'll be able to go on your way or (b)3 small Nerubian scarabs will spawn (tiny amount of HP), OR (c)a larger Nerubian will appear who can be pretty annoying - especially for classes with pets as it will 'consume' them, leaving an 'Infested Victim' who will eventually break open and spawn 3 of the small scarabs.
Quest
Cutting Off the Source
A World of Warcraft quest in Borean Tundra. Facts and objectives from the current retail game data.

A pretty irritating quest due to the fact that the eggs respawn really slowly. A nice place to get a higher chance of getting these eggs would be the higher reaches, up those ramps and stuff.
You can't target these eggs you need to right click in order to destroy them.

What to do
Description
Aerial reconnaissance of the quarry reports that the Nerubians are storing their eggs on the scaffolding surrounding the base. Smart beasts these are... They're keeping the eggs high and dry, away from the epicenter of conflict. You're going to have to go back out there and track down their eggs. Find 'em, smash 'em, and trash 'em. Each egg destroyed means twenty less Nerubians feeding on our corpses.

Pins are the quest’s own POI points from the current retail client, projected onto the in-game zone map. The game marks one blob as the quest’s turn-in; the rest are objective areas. Points that fall outside a map’s window are dropped rather than guessed at.
