Quest Log

Dark Infusion

Dark Infusion is a quest for level 90 in Voidstorm. It is step 6 of 8 in the A More Potent Foe storyline. The quest's turn-in marker is in Voidstorm at 52.2, 69.7. It rewards 13,700 experience and money.

Description

The branding ritual we're about to perform is adapted from what demon hunters go through on the Fel Hammer. But given Leona's unique nature and the experimental substitution of Void energy for fel, there's considerable risk here. Even more so than usual.

Leona will be vulnerable during this process, as will I. We've found a secluded area to perform it, but we'll need your protection once we start.

I encountered the same bug with not being able to follow Leona. This is what I observed and how I was able to fix it:

If the portal is open behind Leona before you get started, it's already bugged and will not let you progress no matter how many times you try to restart it. This included relogging and flying out of the area and back - neither fixed it for me.

How I Fixed: I went to Silvermoon to speak with Soridormi, but she couldn't actually help me. When I returned to the Voidstorm, I abandoned the quest and picked it back up. Everything was working on the second attempt at doing the quest from start to finish.

Where to go

Pins are the quest’s own POI points from the current retail client, projected onto the in-game zone map. The game marks one blob as the quest’s turn-in; the rest are objective areas. Points that fall outside a map’s window are dropped rather than guessed at.

Where this quest fits

Before this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • One Cruel ImplementVoidstorm · Level 90

Voidstorm is a world of apex creatures. One in particular, the ultradon, stands above others in its strength and ferocity. But make no mistake, <name>. We demon hunters are the true apex predators wherever we go, because we are willing to go to any length in order to dominate.

After this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • Event HorizonVoidstorm · Level 90

It may not surprise you to know that the stabilization of portal entry points is something I'm quite familiar with. If Leona lives, and I believe she does, she'll need beacons to help triangulate her exit point. Take these beacons, set them up where I've marked on your map, and return here.
