Obvious is obvious but worth mentioning here as I saw others running around keyflames for other quests, and assumed incorrectly.

All the [item=216669] are required for ONLY the Aegis Keyflame at /way 70.08,61.27, no other. I was running around trying to figure out which shards to add to other keyflames, then realized all 5 go into this one. Sheesh.

Where this quest fits

Before this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • Tunnel TroubleHallowfall · Level 75-78

It's good to have new allies here. Together, we have much better chances of protecting this tower. The nerubians have overwhelmed us. If we're going to have any chance against them, we need to destroy the burrows they're using to come under the Wall.

After this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • The Only Good SpiderHallowfall · Level 75-78

<name>, if we don't stem the tide of nerubians climbing up to us, nothing else will matter. Their numbers are just too great. We need to delay their onslaught to buy the people of Hallowfall time to prepare. The wall still serves as a very effective chokepoint. Do what you can to thin their numbers.
