This felt slightly vague in the description. I was trying to use the Hides next to the vents/geysers which had steam shooting out of them -Its not them though. Look around and you will see small vents which have red plants surrounding them.

Start off by killing the Marsh Caribou's Located right outside of the Village to get the Uncured Caribou Hide. Drop rate sucks (20.0%).
Once you get 5 take them to the Geyser Fields (66.28). Approach any pillar (Geyser) that has steam coming & red plants near it, and stand next to it, right click your Uncured Caribou Hide stack and it will turn them into Steam Cured Hide
Combine with:
Cleaning up the Pools
Souls of the Decursed*Just Grab your Uncursed Caribou Hides first!
First you need kill http://www.wowhead.com/?npc=25680
And drop 5x http://www.wowhead.com/?item=35288
Next go at 65,30 for example and use it. :)

What to do
Description
Remember all that gnomish duct tape you brought me? Well, I've found a use for it. The body of this flying machine is so banged up in places, that I'm going to need to reinforce it if I ever hope to fly. Dorain over there has been telling me that the taunka use steam cured caribou leather for making watertight containers. Marsh caribou live all around the village and in the Flood Plains to the south. Get the best hides you can find and cure them over the steam vents in the Geyser Fields.

Pins are the quest’s own POI points from the current retail client, projected onto the in-game zone map. The game marks one blob as the quest’s turn-in; the rest are objective areas. Points that fall outside a map’s window are dropped rather than guessed at.

- The Power of the Elements
I kept trying to tell that silly goblin his machines are unreliable. But the power of the elements; that is deep and abiding. When my apprenticeship is over, I will wield their full power. What I know now should be sufficient to help out our friend Fezzix, though.

- Scouting the Sinkholes
Can you feel the tremors in the earth? The Scourge's nerubians are on the move deep beneath the ground. They've emerged to the southwest in the Geyser Fields, and are harassing the patrols Chieftain Wintergale sent out.
