There are two caves where the "Aged Magnataurs" go to die.. wait for them to walk out as Plagued Magnataurs. First cave is at 74.15. the second is at 77.19. The Plagued also walk around outside of the cave areas. They can take a little bit of time to spawn.... hopefully there aren't too many on the quest at the same time.
This obviously no longer counts for Loremaster. I just finished loremaster for Borean Tundra and then got this quest. It must have changed when Blizzard made the area scale as Legion does. They also changed the way lore master is counted to match Legion, in that you do x amount of storyline to get loremaster. Borean Tundra now has 8 chapters to their story progress, Hiding in Plain Sight, To the Aid of Farshire, D.E.H.T.A, The Blue Dragonflight, Friends from the Sea, Partcipant Observation, A Family Reunion, and Last Rites. The quests outside of these storylines are still good, but no longer count for loremaster. I believe prior to this change you simply had to do x amount of quests (guessing on the number, I never finished loremaster here before now) such as 150 quests out of the available 189 quests. Again, guessing at the numbers. But I remember in other zones all I had to do was a specific number of quests to get loremaster for that zone.
Anyway, if someone from wowhead reads this, you might want to reflect that change. Thanks :D

What to do
Description
Tinky and I came out here stalking some old magnataur. Apparently those caves up there are where they go to die. Of course, we had no idea that they were going to get plagued when they went in there. We can't have plagued things just roaming about; it's not healthy. Say, why don't you put down a number of those things while I figure out what our next step should be?
Where to go
Pins are the quest’s own POI points from the current retail client, projected onto the in-game zone map. The game marks one blob as the quest’s turn-in; the rest are objective areas. Points that fall outside a map’s window are dropped rather than guessed at.

Where this quest fits
Before this quest
Taken from the storyline's own step order.
- Check in With Bixie
You're a proven hero. I have another problem! My boss, Tinky, went east with Bixie Wrenchshanker and I CAN'T get the outgoing on this thing to work! Tinky's the only one that can fix it and we really need it working one-hundred percent. You think you could find them?
After this quest
Taken from the storyline's own step order.
- There's Something Going On In Those Caves
So, while you were out taking care of those plagued beasts, I took a peek inside the caves up there. There are cultists in there plaguing them! They have some sort of noxious concoction brewing in a cauldron.
