I hope this helps other people.

Ok so the following posts are true:

-when you summon jenny, doing it at the crash closest to the road is best idea.
-mount up quickly and head to road, then to tuank'e village

ok, here is how I fixed the incomplete quest issue.

when you bring jenny to the camp, she will stay several yards behind you, when you go to turn this quest in you NEED to run a good 5-10 yards behind fizzix geartwist.. you might say that he needs to "see" jenny right in front of him. then quest is complete.

if you plan to do this quest along with emergency supplies..... do this one last.

edit: We are currently towards the end of Dragonflight (10.x) and according to upvotes and comments, this post is still relevant and useful. Thank you for the upvotes!

Edit: After 17yrs I still notice and appreciate the likes for this post from people whom it helps!

There are several crash sites to choose from around the SWern portion of The Geyser Fields known as The Scalding Pools (around 61,37). Once you summon Jenny she can loose up to 10 items of cargo before you need to go back and resummon her. The mobs on the way back to the village have several melee range AoEs and will occasionally go to her as if taunted so try to avoid as much as you can.

I went along the northern edge of the area below the Geyser Fields.

What to do

StorylineBorean Tundra, step 157 of 182
Rewards10g 50s, 4,100 XP

Description

Have you seen the flying machines buzzing around? That's gnomish innovation at its finest. I've long waited to get my hands on some of their technology and a perfect opportunity has presented itself. One of their recon wings crashed in the Scalding Pools, in the southwest part of the Geyser Fields. Blow this whistle near one of the crashed machines and my trusty mule, Jenny will answer. She'll follow you and carry the salvage, but you must keep her safe. She'll begin to drop the cargo if attacked.

Pins are the quest’s own POI points from the current retail client, projected onto the in-game zone map. The game marks one blob as the quest’s turn-in; the rest are objective areas. Points that fall outside a map’s window are dropped rather than guessed at.
