Real Ultimate Power

To help another clueless person like me. Placing the Spark-7143 isn't optional unless someone else has already done this. Click on it so it goes anywhere in the quest zone that it will - because there was a place it wouldn't land for me.
It will start collecting the Animated Sludge that you need to kill for the quest. Don't overkill as they will quickly gang up on you. If you die, you can run back to get maybe ONE of the barrels you need and although the Sludges are no longer aggro'd, they disappear fast.

In the quest area, there is a wrecked tower. Its middle is at about /way 74.2 59.1
The tower is on a hill of junk. The junk is a kind of island, ringed by a liquid (waste).

You shouldn't be able to miss this. It's the biggest inland body of liquid.
It's about 2/3 down, when you press "m" / look at the map, on Mechagon's Eastern side.

Stand in the liquid waste (Several places worked, but near the junk island is easy.).
Activate your Spark-7143 and kill Animated Sludges. Pick up what they drop.

(You can kill sludges from someone else's Spark-7143, if that person doesn't need them.)

STEP-BY-STEP (I just finally did this one minute ago).
1) Once you get into the "pond", look around and locate SLIME ELEMENTALS. They are mean, they group up on you, and want nothing more than to KILL YER A**.
2) Find a patch of slime which is out of the way of (see above).
3) Click the icon, and Spark-7143 will appear as (for want of better) a beacon.
4) That beacon will immediately zap at little slimes and turn them into targets (hope you still watching out for Slime Elementals - see above).
5) Kill those little slimes (they may appear to have a cog/wheel growing in their heads). When these die, they drop a "barrel", which you now loot and get your reward.
6) Don't kill more lil slimes than you can easily loot quickly. The barrels may disappear if not collected promptly. Repeat as necessary, if 7143 stops working in that location,
