Kill the bots one at a time!
If you kill a second bot while you're still draining the charge from the first one, you will not be able to drain the second one!
Well this quest bugs out for me... I came to mechogan and it was second quest i picked up and i instantly took quest item, but when i tried to use it on dead pup it replied, that u can't use that right now. And i noticed, that i don't have gauge for the quest, so I abandoned it and picked up again and this time gauge showed up after I picked up quest item. I have no idea what bugged the quest...
