This quest was added during patch 4.03a on 24 Nov 2010.

It is obtained from Cannary Caskshot who can be found in the Stoutlager Inn, Thelsamar, Loch Modan. She is next to the bar at co-ords 34 49.

The objective of the quest is to obtain 7 Murloc scent glands from Bluegill wanderers, Bluegill mudskippers or if your lucky enough Whitefin.

Once complete return to the quest giver to hand in.

I also gained 69 rep with the Alliance and 69 rep with Gilneas on completion of this quest.

Completion of this quest leads on to Axis of awful.

One of the most disturbing quests in WoW. You have to kill the daddy murlocs / mamma murlocs as their kids are watching you.

Sometimes I wake up in the middle of the night screaming and I see those baby murlocs watching me. Always watching me with those innocent eyes...

Description

Murlocs workin' with gnolls? That's a laugh! Now, just killin' them won't get you anywhere. Too many of the buggers. But I've got a plan, usin' the old noggin, see. Those murlocs, they have this smell, they get that smell on stuff, and when another murloc smells it, they go all crazy! Makes great bait for 'em. Anyway, they've got little glands that have that smell in 'em. You go and get me a bunch of those.

Where to go

Pins are the quest’s own POI points from the current retail client, projected onto the in-game zone map. The game marks one blob as the quest’s turn-in; the rest are objective areas. Points that fall outside a map’s window are dropped rather than guessed at.

Where this quest fits

Before this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • Suddenly, Murlocs!Loch Modan · Level 5-30

So we've got troggs working for kobolds, and kobolds working for gnolls. The gnolls must've moved in from the Wetlands. How do I know? Well, they brought friends, because what's left of the Loch is swarming with Bluegill murlocs that were never there before.

After this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • Hornet HuntingLoch Modan · Level 5-30

We're always looking for new game around here. Daryl may like his boars, but the rest of us prefer things more exotic. Now, I'd never say the Loch draining was a good thing, but it did have a silver lining. The swampy ground's brought in new prey: Hornets! Giant hornets, mind you.
