Foxtails By The Handful

Foxtails By The Handful is an Alliance-only quest for level 5-30 in Loch Modan. It is step 19 of 35 in the Loch Modan storyline. The quest's turn-in marker is in Loch Modan at 81.8, 61.7. It rewards 1 reputation reward, 5,150 experience and money. Completing it counts toward 1 achievement.

Description

We've seen more foxes in the hills lately. Cunning creatures, they are. A good test of a hunter's skills, and a fine profit to boot!

It's their tails, lad. Fine and fluffy, they're just as good hung on yer belt to ward off fleas as they are to line the gloves of some fancy noble.

Listen to me prattle on. I'm no goblin; the thrill's in the hunt! But if you bring me back some foxtails, I'll still gladly pay you for 'em. You'll find the foxes just north of the lodge in the lower woodlands.

Just to note, it is possible to skip this quest and not lose out on the rest of the quests at the hub. You'll still be able to get the Loch Modan Quests achievement, as well, which I was glad for -- those foxes are too precious and cute for me to want to kill them! D:

Where this quest fits

Before this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • Hornet HuntingLoch Modan · Level 5-30

We're always looking for new game around here. Daryl may like his boars, but the rest of us prefer things more exotic. Now, I'd never say the Loch draining was a good thing, but it did have a silver lining. The swampy ground's brought in new prey: Hornets! Giant hornets, mind you.

After this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • Thistle While You WorkLoch Modan · Level 5-30

It's stabthistle season! Stabthistle seeds are responsible for up to 89% of seed-related injuries among hunters. You'll find stabthistle seeds mostly in the lower woodland just north of the lodge. They're commonly found at the base of trees, and they will stab and hurt you.
