The Farmsteads

The Farmsteads is a quest for level 10-45 in Val'sharah. It is step 3 of 8 in the Bradensbrook storyline. The quest's turn-in marker is in Val'sharah at 42.3, 59.0. It rewards 1 reputation reward, 6,150 experience and money.

Description

Forgive us, stranger. Mayor Heathrow has been under a lot of stress recently.

I can't blame him: his own daughter, Penelope, has been missing for two days.

In fact, we could use information on several farmsteads to the south: Mayor Heathrow's house, Granny Marl's farm, and the Radcliffes' dock. Can you go check on the situation out there?

Help us, and perhaps the mayor's heart will soften.

Heathrow house:

The house is on fire. You do NOT need to go into the house to complete this part of the quest. Instead, go around to the side of the house. There are some doors to the cellar (38.4, 65.2). Click on the doors to open them, then go inside/down. On the other side of the cellar you'll find Penelope Heathrow. Tell her it's safe and she'll take off, which completes the quest.

However, if you DO go in the house and make it up the stairs, you'll find a sheltered landing where you can pick up the battle pet Grumpy. The fire isn't that bad but don't linger in it.

The corn fields:

Talk to Granny Marl (38.9, 61.5). She'll offer a couple of quests. Just getting near her should check off this requirement.

The fishing dock:

Talk to Cecily Radcliffe (37.1, 58.6). She'll offer a quick kill-the-monster quest. Just getting near her should check off this requirement.

If you are on the 7.2 artifact quest Source of the corruption you will not be able to see Emmelines quest and start this quest. I had to complete the artifact quest line and turn it in, in Dalaran before The Farmsteads became available again.

Before this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • A Village in PerilVal'sharah · Level 10-45

Another outsider? Some bloke named Jarod just went off to our village down the road claiming he might be able to help us with our problem. If you're here to help as well, then you best speak to the Mayor. Just know this is a bad time, and he's got an itchy trigger finger.

After this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • Children of the NightVal'sharah · Level 10-45

I am no enemy to these people, but there is no convincing them of that. Their village has come under attack by some very old friends of mine. Friends who are no longer... living. There's no telling who or what controls them, but in life these noble soldiers would never engage in such acts.
