In case anyone was interested, after you kill Queen Angerboda, The lich king arrives in shadowy form, but he doesn't see you. He says something along the lines of,
"Not yet, Ymiron. I have other plans for you. You will serve me better in Utgarde Pinnacle. If these insects find you again, you will get the chance to avenge your wife."

Then they both disappear. It's pretty cool.

If you start the fight with Queen Angerboda with a stun she will not kill the adds around Ymiron. They will keep channeling after her death and the Lich King will not show up and say his line.

You still complete the objective but don't get to see the neet little scene.

What to do

StorylineHowling Fjord, step 133 of 162
Rewards21g, 5,150 XP

Description

A sheaf of parchment drops from the still hand of the overlord. Upon it you can discern the outline of the rituals that are taking place in the catacombs below. However, it appears that the queen of the vrykul, Angerboda, is having difficulty awakening King Ymiron. The ritual is taking place within the large chamber, known as the Winter's Terrace, on the north end of Gjalerbron. If you hurry, you may be able to stop her before it is too late.

Where to go

Pins are the quest’s own POI points from the current retail client, projected onto the in-game zone map. The game marks one blob as the quest’s turn-in; the rest are objective areas. Points that fall outside a map’s window are dropped rather than guessed at.

Where this quest fits

Before this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • Sleeping GiantsHowling Fjord · Level 10-30

I've overheard what you've had to say with Greatmother Ankha. With all due respect, she's not having you go far enough. You must also deal with the vrykul that lie dormant in the Waking Halls beneath Gjalerbron!

After this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • Gjalerbron Attack PlansHowling Fjord · Level 10-30

These plans detail an imminent attack upon Camp Winterhoof. It would appear that the frost wyrm, Glacion, who circles overhead, is to be used for the offensive. Surely Celea Frozenmane would be of some assistance in this matter. Deliver the plans to her at the camp to the east.
