The Slumbering King (Alliance)

The Slumbering King is an Alliance-only quest for level 10-30 in Howling Fjord. It is step 103 of 162 in the Howling Fjord storyline. The quest's turn-in marker is in Howling Fjord at 28.9, 44.2. It rewards 1 reputation reward, 5,150 experience and money. Completing it counts toward 1 achievement.

Description

A sheaf of parchment drops from the still hand of the overlord. Upon it you can discern the outline of the rituals that are taking place in the catacombs below.

However, it appears that the queen of the vrykul, Angerboda, is having difficulty awakening King Ymiron. The ritual is taking place within the large chamber, known as the Winter's Terrace, on the north end of Gjalerbron.

If you hurry, you may be able to stop her before it is too late.

Wowhead says this quest is no longer in the game but I just completed it not even a half-hour ago. Don't get confused by the false label, the information on how to complete the quest, as well as the difficulty and rewards, are still the same.

Go to 39.4 , 8.0

Get inside, clear the mobs on the way. Inside you'll see a mob tagged as boss, don't be scared you don't have to face it :) just turn left or right, keep clearing the mobs till you are behind Queen Angerboda. Now you can kill her (it's a mage and will cast fireball and nova).

Stay there a few secs, there's a little dialogue between The Lich King and the husband (i think) of Queen Angerboda ;)

The vanguard of the Alliance force will be arriving within days. The soldiers will be expecting their winter gear to be prepared, but I've still got more cloaks to make. I've been using spotted hippogryph down for the cloaks' linings, but my stock won't last! You've got to help me, <name>.
