iLvl 95 Resto Druid (53) - This thing hits hard in melee. Took 3 deaths before I finally looked here.
Apparently the secret is to simply kite the thing, run around like crazy, and stay out of melee range. You might want to take out the trash around it as I made the mistake the first time of using sunfire near 3 other npcs that were close by. Gorgebeak also seems to have a slow effect that prevents you from being able to get far if you happen to get an unluck hit. So anything that will allow you to keep distance will work on this to solo.
Once the trash was out of the way it was fairly easy to burn him down - ursol's vortex / entangling roots / moonfire / sunfire / starsurge at 90 astral power and a lot of running - just took a bit of time.
