Weapons and Warriors

Weapons and Warriors is a quest for level 70-73 in Isle of Dorn. It is step 1 of 4 in the Seven Soldiers storyline, the opening step. The quest's turn-in marker is in Isle of Dorn at 49.8, 76.7. It rewards 4,750 experience and money.

Description

Gorloc raiders have been slaughtering these farmers and stealing their pearls. They seek our protection, but we may not be enough.

I know of others nearby who can help. Seek them out and request their aid. If they are hesitant, offer them the promise of pearls as payment.

We will also need to arm these farmers so they can defend themselves. Search for spare weapons and equipment that they might be able to use.

I will go with the farmers and train them as best I can.

This questline is a reference to the 1954 movie Seven Samurai directed by Akira Kurosawa. In the film bandits are menacing a farming village, and seven samurai are recruited to train the farmers and fight alongside them to protect the village when the bandits return. If you haven't seen it, I would recommend it, it's a classic.
