What Horrible Magic

What Horrible Magic is a quest for level 80-90 in Eversong Woods. It is step 25 of 75 in the Saltheril's Haven storyline. The quest's turn-in marker is in Eversong Woods at 42.6, 46.2. It rewards 11,750 experience and money.

Description

Have you seen the encampments the naga have been constructing along our coast? Dreadful business.

Not only do they menace our ships and disrupt our trade routes, but they might pose a real threat to Eversong's inland settlements if allowed to continue operations unchecked.

Their arcanists are particularly dangerous. Dispose of them and our guests will be in your debt.

If a Void Strike is up in the area when you go to do this quest, you can still get it done, but you have to go to the south side of the quest area where the void strike does not overlap with it. I found two [npc=247966]s there, which respawned quickly.

That is every comment on this page.

Where to go

Pins are the quest’s own POI points from the current retail client, projected onto the in-game zone map. The game marks one blob as the quest’s turn-in; the rest are objective areas. Points that fall outside a map’s window are dropped rather than guessed at.

Where this quest fits

Before this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • Pyrepetal PurposesEversong Woods · Level 80-90

Lord Saltheril, that old lynx, has put me in a bit of a bind. He has requested a grand fireworks display to accompany tonight's dinner service, but we are dreadfully low on pyrepetal dust. It is an herb native to Eversong, highly flammable and quite dazzling when set aflame by pyromancy.

After this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • Fit for a MagisterEversong Woods · Level 80-90

Battle prowess and magical skill are important, of course, but one cannot deny the power of appearances. A well-dressed army instills far more faith than one bedecked in rags. Fortunately, a fine set of robes can be both flattering and functional.
