Wold Memories

Wold Memories is a quest for level 70-73 in Isle of Dorn. It is step 3 of 5 in the Boskroot of the Problem storyline. The quest's turn-in marker is in Isle of Dorn at 54.2, 65.3. It rewards 1,200 experience and money.

Description

Freydrin must have had some way of fending off the fungarians.

Although there are few left in the countryside who still follow the Edicts, Freydrin was long a true believer. She would never have allowed these woods to reach this state while she held faith.

We should take a look at her home in the woods. Perhaps there is something that may prove useful inside.

  2. For Urn searched: The urn is a round, brown container on the shelf to the right as you enter her home.

  4. For Memory heard: Examine the gem in front of the fireplace, to the left of Woldtender Igris.

  6. For Pledge read: Head down the stairs behind Woldtender Igris and examine the stone banner leaning against the wall.

  8. For Freydrin's Shillelagh: Turn around but don't go up the stairs. Pick up Freydrin's Shillelagh from in front of the fireplace to the right.

Wait just a damn minute... how on Azeroth did [item=154875] get all the way here from Drustvar?...

...And [item=154874]?

......AND [item=154894]?!

They're ALL here?!?

<All the color leaves your face, as the realization creeps in through the edges of your mind.>

I think we need to revisit [npc=121603] and ask her just what she's been up to these past few years...
(but even my Death Knight is creeped out by her, so I'd really rather not)

(By the way: nothing happened when I summoned [npc=139081] in front of the dolls.)

ive been looking everywhere to see if theres any lore as to WHY/HOW Abby's plushies are here. i wonder if Abby had something to do with the Wold being this way? and possibly Freydrin's disappearance? (Edit: i just did the quest again, and Freydrin removes her Memory gem and shuts down, but her body is nowhere to be found, hence my wording of "disappearance")

Freydrin was the leader of my order. I was sent here to assist them. I was too late. There is a darkness that haunts these woods, <race>s. These woods were Freydrin's home. It was her charge to tend to them, so given by the Keeper herself. And now she is gone and her woods run amok.

Magical staff? Wards? What were you doing, Freydrin? <Igris ruminates briefly, her brow crinkling and eyes aglow. After a moment, she turns to you with a smile carved into her face.> I've got it! The life energy in this staff should overcome any mycotic corruptions in the wildlife here.
