I know I can't be the only person who has observed that this spell yields Sorcerous Air and Sorcerous Water, not Sorcerous Fire.
There is a bug apparently with this entire tool tip right now. Almost all of the information is incorrect or saying it gives something other than what it does. It is the same as it always has been though. You attempt to make a Temporal Crystal which can shatter into 3-6 shards randomly with improved shard count on a shatter depending on Trade Skill level. The skill itself is working correctly and as intended apparently from what has been said.

Yeah. Exactly as swift says above. It's a known bug which they are working on. So 1 crystal per daily cooldown at max skill level, with shards a possibility at lower skill levels. Sorcerous Air and Water are the possible by-products.

Very true, that has been my experience as well. It is also suppose to make 3-6 crystals, but you only get one.
At 650 skill I got a full crystal, not fractured pieces. Not sure how much skill you need to have a 100% chance of getting a whole crystal, maybe 700 ?

That's true Gambol, but that's beside the point.
Alchemists can transmute air, earth or water into fire. or pretty much any one of those into something else.
Only the winners at Blizzard could take this long to change a tooltip to be correct.
At lease now with Temporal Binding we can make them faster. Could barely keep enough on hand to get my weapons enchanted let alone think about selling enchants.
