This is THE premier damage dealer for a feral druid.
With the mangle debuff you can regularly see +2k crits (at 70) with shred and with the shredding attacks talent this becomes the skill with the highest DPS output.
If you have another feral druid tanking your DPS will be even greater because you wont have to reapply the Mangle debuff.
For solo grinding this is very useful in the Pounce -> Mangle -> Shred Combo. If you have Omen of Clarity and Shredding Attacks you can even get 2 Shreds in if OoC procs. This will take most normal mobs below 10% if not kill them altogether.
The same goes for PvP opponents.
