Timeless Isle

From Blizzard:

"Timeless Isle is another experiment, similar to Battlefield Barrens but with more content. There are dynamic events, some really difficult mobs, more rare spawns, world bosses, treasure chests, pet battle things, and lots of other things to do. There won't be a central hub where you go to do things, but activities will be spread out and hidden all over the isle."

What we know so far:

The Isle is a no flight zone!

World Bosses

There will be 5 world bosses on the Isle:

These four Celestial world bosses are the 5.4 version of Sha of Anger/[npc=69099] and are relatively easily beaten.. They all share the same loot table, and while you can fight all four, you will only receive a chance at loot for the first one you defeat. They drop iLevel 550 PvP gear and iLevel 553 PvE gear.

Ordos is the equivalent of the original Oondasta, and will require more effort than the Celestials. Reaching (and therefor fighting) Ordos will require a player to have obtained the Legendary cloak on at least one of their characters. He drops iLevel 559 Warforged gear.

Just to emphasize, if you have the Legendary cloak on one character, you will be able to reach and fight Ordos on ALL your other characters as well!

Pet Battle Tournament (Celestial Tournament)

Players that have at least 15 Level 25 Battle Pets will be able to enter the The Celestial Tournament by talking to Master Li.

In order to beat the Celestial Tournament, you will need to fight 3 tamers with 3 Legendary pets each, followed by 4 solo Legendary beasts. You cannot heal or revive battle pets during the Tournament, so bring a wide variety of pets!

The same 3 trainers will always be together, so there are 3 possible combinations you can face:

Four Celestial battle pets, small versions of the Celestial world bosses, will be available to players. These pets can be purchased for [item=101529] x3 from Master Li, and come from participating in the Celestial Tournament. The first time you beat the Celestial Tournament, you will receive an additional 2 coins from The Rainy Day is Here, allowing you to instantly buy your first pet.

Reputation

There will be a new faction associated with the Timeless Isle, [faction=1492], the long lost Emperor of the Pandaren people.

Reputation for this faction comes from killing Yaungol and fire elementals on the Isle, which grant around 5-25 reputation per kill. In addition, there are a few quests that award reputation (each quest grants 250 reputation):

Bind-on-Account gear

Mobs on the Isle have a chance to drop a Bind-on-Account token that will award a randomly enchanted item, depending on the armor type of the token. For example, the Plate token could contain [item=101789]. The tokens do not need to be for your own specialization, so it's possible for a Plate wearer to get Cloth/Leather/Mail tokens as well. All of the items are iLevel 496.

The above items can be upgraded to iLevel 535 by using a [item=103982] on them (you can only do this on the un-opened containers, not the actual gear that is received from them!).

Currency

[currency=777] is a new currency associated with the Isle, and can be obtained from participating in events on the Isle as well as killing (certain) creatures. These will be used to purchase all sorts of goodies on the Isle, such as the above listed BoA Epics and Rare items, as well as things such as [currency=752] and [item=71153]. To give you an example of the amount of coins needed, a single BoA Epic requires 7500 [currency=777] and a single Mogu Rune of Fate costs 2500 [currency=777].

The 5.4 part of the Legendary quest chain, Secrets of the Timeless Isle, will require you to collect 5000 [currency=777].

Since nobody have said anything about it, THERE IS NO PORTAL to Timeless Isle. You just have to fly there. :)

P.S: Be careful not to fly high! Upon reaching the border of the isle, it'll knock you off your flying mount and send you fly manually :)

And here's some answers to questions I think will be FAQs:

• How do I get to the island? You can fly from southeast Jade Forest and you'll make it to the island before fatigue runs out. Horde camp is to the north, Alliance camp is to the south. Chromie will also point you to the island in the introductory quest A Flash of Bronze....

• Can I fly on the island? No, flying mounts are not allowed on the Timeless Isle ([spell=145389]). You'll want your best ground mount, as well as Reins of Poseidus for the aquatic areas and [item=81354] to reach some far-off shipwrecks. [npc=73531] is also a convenient taxi that can fly players to areas that are otherwise unreachable.

• Is there an inn on the island? Yes, [npc=73622] is the innkeeper on the north side of the Celestial Court.
• 
  
• Where is the mailbox? [npc=73629] doesn't look like a mailbox, but speaking to him works like a mailbox. He's next to [npc=73622] on the north side of the Celestial Court.

• Are there flightpaths? Yes, the Huojin and Tuishi camps on the west coast have flight masters.
• 
  
• Will doing anything here help me in [zone=6738]? You'll need to do several quests and kill world bosses here for your legendary cape. Besides that, Empowering the Hourglass awards [currency=396 amount=200], which you'll want for your item upgrades, and if you're just interested in [zone=6738], you'll need ilvl 496 gear which just so happens to be the level of the Timeless Isle BoA gear. You can also purchase some ilvl 535 trinkets for [currency=777 amount=50000].

• There are so many rares and events, how can I tell what's going on? Blizzard has introduced a new feature alerting users to rare spawns and events. The minimap will display a skull if a rare spawn is up, and crossed swords if an event is available to complete.
• 
  
• How can I tell if I've already completed or looted something since it's not straightforward like a quest log? Blizzard tracks a lot of these seemingly random events with "flag" quests, like [quest=32962] for the event tied to Zarhym Altogether. These quests don't show up in your log, but you can type "/run print(IsQuestFlaggedCompleted(xxxxx))" in-game, where xxxx is the quest ID, and the response will show if you've already completed it or not.
