Just helped my wife with this, so I did a google search and found this: Stand in the targeted area and click on the Observe the Ceremony extra action button. Turns out the button was under one of her add-ons, so check that or maybe have to disable them to ensure it appears correctly.

Description
Traditions should not hold us back, {name}. They should inform the future. <Maiev looks at Lysander before turning her gaze back to you.> I have let my perceptions hold me back as well. No more. I am tired of seeing rifts between our people, regardless of what they use to better themselves or the world. It is time I give Lysander his marking. The kaldorei are no strangers to change. Our traditions should adapt to our lives, not define them.

Help me! When I accept this quest, the spotlight comes and shines on the ground, I go into the spotlight, kneel down...and NOTHING HAPPENS. What am I doing wrong? After I kneel it says "You kneel before Maiev Shadowsong" and then nothing. I've watched probably 20 or more people get in the light, kneel, disappear and reappear moment later. This should be easy. ARGH. Any help appreciated.
