Agapanthus in greek means, agapa=love= αγάπα and anthus= young blossoms= άνθους . so this guy means, love small blossoms or you might say younglings, since he offers a quest about young whelps.
also he lost his wings

Where this quest fits
Before this quest
Taken from the storyline's own step order.
- The Death of the Eldest
I will do what I can to stabilize him, but I will need your help. The small amount of energy he has left is coming from the mana pool he rests in. Follow the whelplings' lead. Dropping ley crystals into the pool gives him a bit of energy - buying him a few more breaths.
After this quest
Taken from the storyline's own step order.
- Their Dying Breaths
I have precious little time. As we speak, my troops are defending against an onslaught of withered elves. These four whelplings are near death. Their lives are of the utmost importance to our flight, as they may be some of the last whelplings Senegos can rear.
