Bloodspattered Banners (Alliance)

Bloodspattered Banners is an Alliance-only quest for level 25-30 in Icecrown. It is step 39 of 167 in the Icecrown storyline. The quest's turn-in marker is in Icecrown at 63.3, 44.0. It rewards 1 reputation reward, 4,100 experience and money.

Description

In the Valley of Fallen Heroes and Icecrown Glacier, to the west of Aldur'thar, the Scourge seeks to use the fallen against us. Scourge lieutenants have woken the valley's dead and imbued them with fearsome strength and fervor. The banners carried by the Scourge leaders in the glacier area are the source of these powers. Kill the banner-bearers, and you will weaken the converted heroes they lead.

It falls to you to rid us of this obstacle, and test the resistance before the main body can advance.

I cant belive that nobody mentioned buff that Converted Heroes recive from Scourge Banner-Bearers when theyre near of them.

First,go to 49.8,40.0 and kill five Scourge Converters.

Second,go to 40,50 and don't kill first Banner-Bearer and then Converted Heroes. They're connected. If u try to kill Heroes first they will have buff from Banner-Bearers that increases theyre damage done by 20% and speed attack by 10%.Kill one Banner-Bearer and then all near Heroes.

Some heroes are alone, and some are with group counting around 8 mobs.Don't try to kill them in group, especialy not AOE,because they can be pulled solo. You will find that way is much easier.

When you finish quest, return to Thassarian.Hope this helps.

Before this quest

  • Raise the BarricadesIcecrown · Level 25-30

When our forces begin to move beyond Aldur'thar, they will be vulnerable to attack from the Ironwall Rampart and the broad glacier below. We have neither the time nor the materials to build fortifications, but we can put up some barricades to shield our men from fire and break up Scourge charges.

After this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • Get the MessageIcecrown · Level 25-30

The Horde is up to something and I don't like it. After the stunt they pulled on the Broken Front, they're capable of anything, and it's up to us to stop it. There's been a flurry of activity in the skies over the Icecrown Glacier, to the west of Aldur'thar and the Ironwall Rampart.
