The Ironwall Rampart (Alliance)

The Ironwall Rampart is an Alliance-only group quest for level 25-30 in Icecrown. It is step 41 of 167 in the Icecrown storyline. The quest's turn-in marker is in Icecrown at 62.9, 44.1. It rewards 1 reputation reward, 5,150 experience and money.

Description

The Ironwall Rampart overlooks the Valley of Fallen Heroes, west of Aldur'thar. The rampart dominates the fields below on all sides. We will not be able to advance if the rampart cannot be taken, but it is held by Grimkor the Wicked and his Cult of the Damned disciples.

If you can weaken Grimkor, our forces will know what to expect as we advance. Take this rune of distortion. Unleashing its power near Grimkor's orb at the end of the rampart should be enough to get the necromancer's attention.

@Metzae: I wish it was that easy :(

No Rest For The Wicked must be completed for this quest to open up.
Riders of blood/theunholy/frost are not a pre-req for this.
Also, this quest was incredibly easy to solo.
I'm a shadow priest. I used Shackle Undead on the dog, then just dps'd down the guy, putting PWS up whenever I could. Never went below 90% health.

Get the MessageIcecrown · Level 25-30
The Horde is up to something and I don't like it. After the stunt they pulled on the Broken Front, they're capable of anything, and it's up to us to stop it. There's been a flurry of activity in the skies over the Icecrown Glacier, to the west of Aldur'thar and the Ironwall Rampart.

Before the Gate of HorrorIcecrown · Level 25-30
The Conflagration, the ground before Corp'rethar, south of the Ironwall Rampart, is where the Lich King's elite soldiers have formed up to defend the citadel. Led by a contingent of death knights, a legion of skeletal reavers bars the way.
