TheWoWDBWhen you gather foxflower, sometimes a [npc=98235] will spawn. It runs around and puts little flowers on the ground. While on this quest, you need to get one of the foxes to spawn, and then run over the flowers to get credit for "gathering" the chewed foxflower bits. Once you get the rank 3 of foxflower gathering, you can run over those flowers to get extra foxflower from the node, I was noticing about 25-30 extra herbs when the fox spawned. Currently the text for the rank three says that the fox will fight alongside you though, so I am not sure which will end up staying.

Edit: Two incidents of this - submitting a bug report now. We're pretty sure that the Sky Golem does in fact mess with the quest.I picked lots and lots of Foxflowers after receiving this quest, and no fox spawned.
Dismounted, boom, fox on the first flower picked.Very little data to go on, but other people in the same situation might try dismounting before picking flowers.

This quest is started from looting [item=129137], a rare drop from any Foxflower node native to Highmountain, after already obtaining [spell=193421], and starts the quest Teeny Bite Marks to return to your herbalism trainer before you receive this quest.
To complete the quest, you must loot Foxflower nodes until you see a friendly fox, [npc=98235] spawn that makes an audible howl then runs around, dropping flowers in its wake which you must collect (you may have already seen one spawn previously from Foxflower nodes -- it's the same one, and gives you lots of Foxflower too).
Once completed, you are rewarded with [spell=193422] which allows you to occasionally find [item=124124] inside future Foxflower nodes. You then have the chance to find [item=129278] instead which starts The Pied Picker to unlock the next rank, [spell=193423], and is also part of the prerequisite to obtain The Emerald Nightmare: Felwort Mastery for [spell=193432] (rank 2 in all Legion herbs).

Description
This is a powerful herb, {name}. Creatures will occasionally snack on some simpler herbs, but usually they avoid plants of such potency. I'm intrigued. What kind of animal would eat foxflower? A moose? You should investigate further. Find out what creature has been snacking on foxflower, and then see if you can wrestle some of the flowers from its mouth, before it escapes.
