Aggressive Excavation

Aggressive Excavation is a quest for level 60 in Zereth Mortis. It is step 11 of 17 in the Crown of Wills storyline. The quest's turn-in marker is in Zereth Mortis at 57.2, 31.1. It rewards 10,200 experience and money.

Description

Elder Eru said that we could find the most complex examples of the First Ones' language out here.

We'll need to fight our way to the vaults, and then infuse the helm once we find those phrases.

On a personal note, I never thought I'd have the chance to fight alongside my father. Though with the stakes this high, it somehow feels like exactly the place I'm supposed to be.

I am ready when you are.

Blizz and their "you're in combat so you won't do sh*t" annoyance, prevents you from even using the rubble blocked door of one of the rooms on this one. It isn't enough to have that area cluttered with mobs, below and above, only some classes able to drop agro. I wonder why they don't put an item to drop agro on all new zones then, since the one from Vol'dun worked wonders outside of BfA, until they decided it was too fun.

Where to go

Pins are the quest’s own POI points from the current retail client, projected onto the in-game zone map. The game marks one blob as the quest’s turn-in; the rest are objective areas. Points that fall outside a map’s window are dropped rather than guessed at.

Where this quest fits

Before this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • Oppress and DestroyZereth Mortis · Level 60

What we seek is in the vaults of the Endless Sands. To reach them will require strength and numbers. Together we will destroy the Mawsworn. I look forward to taking the fight directly to them. Remember, they will be vulnerable to the broken shard from the Helm of Domination.

After this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • Where the Memory ResidesBastion · Level 60

I think I know what will be asked of us in Bastion. It will not be easy. With this half of the Helm, we have collected the first part of what is needed to resist Domination. But there are those of us who have also suffered from it. Lived through it. In a way, it has marked us. All of us.
