Don't bother trying to kill the target without using the Doomstone. It is totally doable, 891 Enhancement was perfectly fine with occasional Healing Surge spam, but the questline continues as if you had used it anyway.

Unfortunate, if they wanted us to use it why make it optional? I feel like it was made clear that the Doomstone shouldn't be used. Both by Nobundo saying that Magatha shouldn't have it and by Magatha tempting us to use it or to give it to her.
Someone forgot to change the name and no one flagged it in beta? Quest says kill Flameripper mob is called Flamecleaver nicely done Blizz!

- The Firelord's Offense
Smolderon calls from across the battlefield, shaman. Now it is his realm being violated. It seems urgent. I will clean up here.
After this quest

- The Calm After the Storm
You have saved the elements from the Legion's control, and for that we thank you. However, it came at a great cost to both your health and your fellow shaman. Many came back to us wounded, dragged along by their fellow shaman. We have seen the havoc the Doomstone can wreak.
