The Illidari vs Kruul fight that Kor'vas is talking about happened in the novel Illidan. The demon hunters fought Kruul behind the scenes during the beginning of BC, keeping him from attacking us and giving us a chance to establish the camps at the Stair of Destiny in Hellfire Peninsula. It was a cool fight scene, the narration described it as basically an entire DH raid team fighting him and he even used his in-game abilities that he had back in the day.

Description
That heart is the last remaining piece of Highlord Kruul - once one of the Legion's best warlords. Many years ago Kruul's armies nearly descended upon the Dark Portal to crush the Azerothian assault on Outland. We Illidari intercepted before he could strike. I fear that the Legion aims to use the heart to hasten Kruul's resurrection in the nether. We must find the Prophet Velen at once - only he can tell us for sure.
