Due Recognition

Due Recognition is a quest for level 83-88 in Burning Steppes, added in Midnight. It is step 6 of 17 in the Regrets of the Past storyline. The quest's turn-in marker is in Burning Steppes at 21.1, 39.8. It rewards 12,150 experience and money.

Description

Blackrock Mountain is where most of the Dark Horde has holed up. All their unit commanders adorn themselves with badges, struttin' around like they won the Second War. Shameful! But it gives me an idea.

Defeat them and take their badges. Can't have new leaders that way--these blowhards like the pomp of command. Who wants the stress of leadership with no fancy badge to wear?

Head on in there with Arator and keep 'em busy. Sky'reen an' I will support ye from the air.

Where this quest fits

Before this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • Still ScoutingBurning Steppes · Level 83-88

When the Alliance originally fought the Horde here, Kurdran served as a scout. He's still an excellent one. He took his gryphon to Blackrock Mountain to see what kind of forces we may be dealing with there. Meet up with him and see what kind of trouble you can cause.

After this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • Nagosh the ScarredBurning Steppes · Level 83-88

The Dark Horde may strut around inside the mountain, but an orc called Nagosh is the one rulin' this roost. He barks orders, then charges straight into a fight. Rock-heads in command like that one are what gets everyone on all sides killed. I'd bet anything that numbskull claimed Faol's shiny relic.
