Expunging Explorers

Expunging Explorers is a quest for level 88-90 in Voidstorm. It is step 4 of 6 in the Pathogenic Problem storyline. The quest's turn-in marker is in Voidstorm at 34.6, 43.8. It rewards 12,850 experience and money.

Description

Let us hope we are able to concoct a cure from the reagents you acquired.

I have already prepared the base potion, but now we need to carefully mix in the blood petals and livers you procured. With some calculated determination and a bit of luck, we should be able to craft an antidote and administer it to the afflicted ren'dorei scouts nearby.

<name>, assist Blocciniux by mixing in the gathered ingredients.

I had an issue where the scouts had no dialog in their window and I couldn't cure them. I went back to the quest giver and there was an additional quest I had missed, Calculated Culling. After picking that up the scouts worked as expected.

Where to go

Pins are the quest’s own POI points from the current retail client, projected onto the in-game zone map. The game marks one blob as the quest’s turn-in; the rest are objective areas. Points that fall outside a map’s window are dropped rather than guessed at.

Where this quest fits

Before this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • Virulent VerminVoidstorm · Level 88-90

The pathogen appears to spread unevenly among the Molt's wildlife. When my fellow ren'dorei were infected, they grew confused and unresponsive. The local fauna appear more resistant. I suspect some of the Molt's denizens have a stronger resistance than others.

After this quest

Taken from the storyline's own step order.

  • Bloodborne PathogenVoidstorm · Level 88-90

The bloodborne pathogen has mutated! The ooze-like carriers of this pathogen usually die quickly, but this new variant is stable even without a host. If it escapes from here, it could infect more ren'dorei and spread across Voidstorm, or worse yet, Azeroth. Our entire operation is at risk.
